No. Simplance has a free tier with everything you need to get started. Pro unlocks additional features, but donations are completely optional - they help cover infrastructure costs and fund development.
Every dollar covers real costs: hosting, database, domain renewal, and email services. Anything beyond that goes toward development time for new features.
Not yet. Ko-fi monthly memberships have a 5% fee vs 0% for one-time donations. For now, one-time support is the most efficient way to help. If there's demand for monthly support, we'll consider adding that option.
